For me and I'm sure allot of other people, movies (more specifically some characters) make a lasting impression on me and my own sense of style. Movies have always pushed the boundrys of how we dress. Jeans were just a type of work clothing until Marlon Brando wore them in A Streetcar Named desire and the The Wild One.
For me It's not so much that I'm looking to copy an outfit. More the essence of it, maybe the fit of a coat, a certain colour combination, or the general attitude the characters style exudes. Here are some of the characters that made me take a second look.
Ben Foster as Charlie Prince. In my opinion a flamboyantly gay gunslinger in 3:10 to Yuma. An excellent western If you haven't seen it.
Ben Foster again in Alpha Dog as a speed addicted neo nazi skinhead. For those of you who may find skindhead style offensive I suggest doing a little reading on it here. The style in and of itself doesn't tell you anything about the person.... unless you see red boot laces.
Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood. So bad ass.
Warning There is some violence in this clip.
Is there a more recognizable or famous character than the one James Dean plays in Rebel Without a Cause? 80% of his legacy is based off of this character.
Michael Biehn in Terminator. 80's workout sweatshirt, raincoat, sweatpants and high top Nikes. Some how pulling it all off.
The most important thing about style is attitude. It's not always what you wear, it's how you wear it.
27. Truck driver.
24. Artist.
I can't watch Ben Foster without thinking of Honey I Shrunk The Kids.
I like your blog by the way. Cute concept.

Love it. I'm a huge fan of the slightly sweaty, slightly dirty, jeans-clad white top look. Yep.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I see a movie and covet the whole wardrobe of one of the female characters!
